New summer destination for Sunweb Group and Transavia: the Azores

Schiphol, Thursday 18 November 2021- As of this summer, Transavia and Sunweb Group will open a new route to Ponto Delgada on the Azores. Sunweb Group and Transavia will discover this new destination together and thus strengthen their cooperation. The first flight will be on 24 April 2022 and will operate weekly on Sundays.

The Azores, with its nine islands, are located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and have an unprecedented beauty. With a climate that is almost always mild and pleasant. The Azores are not very touristy yet and therefore an ideal holiday destination for adventurers and nature lovers. The Dutch have a great need for holidays and together with family and friends they want to discover beautiful and new destinations. The Azores fit in well with this.
